Closing the Grender Gap in the Technology Industry

New Horizons Computer Learning Centers of South Florida is excited to collaborate with CareerSource South Florida, TechHire Center for Women at the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) of Miami, and the Carrie Meek Foundation to help increase the number of women from communities across Miami-Dade in technology careers. 

This year the women in technology program evolved, incorporating an internship component. After completing a rigorous 16-week program of study and pursuing 4 industry-recognized certifications, our program participants recieved the opportunity to leverage what they learned at internship sites.  

This year we were fortunate to have interns being hosted by Amadeus, Invizio, OpticalTel, Cook Technologies, L2R Consulting, and One Support.
